WHO WE ARE

The Southeast Florida Clean Cities Coalition (SEFCCC) is a U.S. Department of Energy (U.S. DOE) designated coalition in the Clean Cities and Communities partnership. The mission of the U.S. DOE’s Clean Cities and Communities partnership is to advance the nation’s economic, environmental, and energy security by supporting local decisions to adopt practices that reduce petroleum consumption.

For over 25 years, the SEFCCC has been the region’s leader in energy independence. By bridging the gap between local government, private industry, and the U.S. DOE, we turn vision into action.

We leverage the expertise of our stakeholders to build a more resilient transportation network advancing affordable domestic fuels, energy-efficient mobility, and cutting-edge fuel-saving technologies.

OUR ROOTS

Managed by the South Florida Regional Planning Council (SFRPC), our Coalition was established in 1994 via Executive Order. As host agency of the Coalition, the SFRPC operates this public-private partnership composed of local government representatives and the private sector concerned with alternative fuel technology and programs. Today, we serve nearly six million residents across Broward, Miami-Dade, Monroe, and Palm Beach Counties.

WHAT WE OFFER

We take a fuel-neutral approach to sustainability. Whether it’s natural gas, biodiesel, propane or electric transportation, our goal is to maximize the use of clean energy in every fleet.

INFORMATION AND EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOPS

Our workshops present detailed and neutral technology information for fuel reduction and air quality improvements.  Many of our workshops are free and all are affordable.

TECHNICAL AND PROBLEM-SOLVING ASSISTANCE

Clean fuel vehicles, and renewable energy represent opportunities for cost reductions and new technologies and experiences.  Through our resources, contacts, and information, SEFLCCC can help fleets, vendors, and partners solve problems and move forward with clean fuel solutions. We also have access to a national network of partners information.

GRANT IDENTIFICATION, EXPLORATION, AND SUPPORT

Clean vehicle projects often include costs that granting agencies at federal, regional, and foundation level can support financially.  The SEFCCC has relationships with a diversity of grant partners and works with all stakeholders on projects to get out more vehicles and infrastructure.  We will help you make the connections to complete your proposal, please contact us.
