SFRPC addresses local resilience concerns by assisting with relevant comprehensive planning, community engagement, mobility efforts, economic development, vulnerability modeling, and mapping. Resilience efforts involve scenario-based planning and the use of sea level rise projections and tidal information to inform vulnerability analyses and adaptation strategies relevant to urban planning and infrastructure design. Many efforts are based on the development of state and federal funding proposals supporting resilience investments as well as on the development of partnerships with local, state, and federal agencies. Projects focus on providing technical assistance to local governments in the Region, including assistance with Peril of Flood Compliance and Sea Level Rise Assessments, and on applying technical information and tools when incorporating resilience principles and considerations into plans and projects.
