Health issues due to sea-level rise impact South Florida
The result of two years of collaborative research with the FAU Center for Environmental Sciences and the South Florida Regional Planning Council, FIHI’s final report
Health and Sea-level Rise: Impacts on South Florida, released on July 11, is now available for download.
Using an innovative public health framework developed by the Florida Institute for Health Innovation, this research provides a new method for linking socio-economic vulnerability and health risks to climate change effects.
The report has generated a nice amount of state and national press coverage, including WLRN/Health News Florida and Science Daily.
The research team will host a webinar discussion of findings, methodology and implications for resiliency in the early fall. To receive webinar notifications and other briefings on the subject, please email info@flhealthinnovation.org.
