EPCRA (Non-Section 313) Online Training for States, Tribes, LEPCs, Local Planners and Responders
The Fire Chief’s Association of Broward County (FCABC) was established in 1996. The association serves as the recognized Broward County Fire Chiefs’ association with the goals of seamless service provision, regional collaboration, professional development and advocacy for fire-rescue services. FCABC proudly represents 31 individual municipalities with a combined population of 1.91 million people. The FCABC is made up of Chief Fire Officers from the 31 municipalities, Broward County, and representatives of Broward’s Trauma Agency, the American Red Cross, Division of Forestry, and Broward County Emergency Management. The FCABC is an organization dedicated to further the professional advancement of fire, emergency medical and rescue service and serve as a unifying body for the fire chiefs of Broward County.
The Florida State Fire Marshal (SFM) is dedicated to protecting life, property and the environment from the devastation of fire. Our focus and efforts foster a fire safe environment through engineering, education and enforcement. As part of the SFM, the Bureau of Fire Standards and Training (BFST) approves Florida’s firefighter training curricula, provides training to Florida’s emergency services providers at the Florida State Fire College and certifies Florida fire service training agencies, instructors, and members to ensure they meet industry-based standards. The State Emergency Response Team Training Resources and Activity Center (SERT TRAC) is the statewide emergency management learning management system. The Training and Exercise Unit coordinates the delivery of courses in the field for primarily county and first responders. The Training and Exercise Unit serves the training and exercise needs of Division staff and members of the State Emergency Response Team (SERT), which includes representatives of the state agencies and other organizations that staff the State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC).

National Center for Disaster Preparedness (NCDP)
NCDP is in the process of boosting awareness of free, FEMA/NTED web-based trainings. The web-based courses cover various topics in addition to pandemic planning, including housing and economic disaster recovery, mass care and sheltering, and (coming soon) climate change and equity.
