Instituted in 2010, the Southeast Florida Regional Climate Change Compact (the Compact) established Southeast Florida as one of the nation’s earliest leaders to conceive of and formalize a collaborative regional approach to address climate change.

South Florida Water Management District 2022 Environmental Report
The 2022 South Florida Environmental Report (SFER) documents an important year of restoration, scientific and engineering accomplishments in the Kissimmee Basin, Lake Okeechobee, Everglades and South Florida coastal areas. The report also provides extensive peer reviewed research summaries, data analyses, financial updates and a searchable database of environmental projects. The report covers environmental information for Water Year 2021 (WY2021; May 1, 2020–April 30, 2021) and project budgetary and construction information for the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD or District) for Fiscal Year 2021 (FY 2021; Oct. 1, 2020 –Sept. 30, 2021).
US Army Corps of Engineers – Miami-Dade County Coastal Storm Risk Management – July 2022
This study investigates alternatives for a plan that addresses these vulnerabilities, as well as provides incidental opportunities for maintaining recreation and habitat along the shoreline of Miami-Dade County, Florida. This study only evaluates the Atlantic Ocean shoreline, it does not evaluate the coastal storm risks of the interior back bay shorelines of the barrier islands or the Miami-Dade County mainland.

The South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD or District) published initial trend analyses to assess how these observed events have been changing in terms of frequency and magnitude in South Florida in the 2022 South Florida Environmental Report.
North Bay Village Stormwater Master Plan – Final Report June 2022
The intent of the SWMP was to establish a strategic plan to protect the Village’s critical infrastructure, defend against decreasing property values, improve the quality of stormwater discharges to Biscayne Bay, and increase overall community resilience.
