This report was prepared by a multidisciplinary team at the direction of the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Directorate of Civil Works to clarify language used by the USACE to describe the full array of coastal risk reduction measures.

City of North Miami Street Tree Management Plan

The North Miami street tree inventory was conducted by Davey Resources Group (DRG) in three parts (2008, 2010, and 2012). DRG inventoried trees and stumps along the street right of ways (ROW) and in parks.

Village of Pinecrest Comprehensive Development Master Plan Update – October 2016

The Comprehensive Development Master Plan is a long-range policy document that provides a vision and policy guidance for the management of growth and development in the Village of Pinecrest. It includes goals, objectives, and policies within various chapters or “elements”, including Land Use, Transportation, Housing, Public Facilities, Conservation, Recreation, Education, Intergovernmental Coordination, and Capital Improvements.

Village of El Portal – Resilience Element Draft

The fact that the water levels in the Village are so closely correlated with water levels in the Little River means that in order to prevent flooding, two other things, also raised by the 2017 project, are important: 1) Retain rainfall flood water upstream to be released slowly, and 2) Remove water that does end up in the Village with pumps and other means without furthering water quality concerns.

South Florida Water Management District – Sea Level Rise and Flood Resiliency Plan – June 2022

This Plan has been updated in 2022 to include additional strategies on nature-based solutions (NBS), sustainable energy strategies, a resiliency view on ongoing ecosystem restoration efforts and associated potential carbon storage, and water supply resiliency. Additionally, the updated document contains a revised and expanded resiliency project characterization and ranking system, and the description of the new flood damage cost estimate tool (SFWMD FIAT) to support cost-benefit analysis as part of flood adaptation planning.
